Yankees Red Sox October 2005
Here we are, game 160, 161 and 162. The Red Sox and Yankees both are coming off a sluggish year. To-most, neither team played up to par. Tonight is crunch time, the Yankees

are 1.5 games up on the Red Sox. Bet you me, Fenway will be ready rain or shine. I've entertained the thought of driving up to one of the games, but those tickets are pretty hot now. Bleacher seats are selling in the $250 range. Like Roberto Duran said "No Mas".

I was at the Orioles - Yankees game last week in the Bronx. I got these discounted seats for $10 ( I sneaked downstairs and watched the game in right field). Getting back to my point. Tickets, were $10 but somehow my wallet returned home empty. So imagine driving up the 2 1/2 hours to Boston and starting the day with a $250 tab for a bleacher seat. On the other hand, I can't even go to the Mets game in Shea. Pedro Martinez won't pitch for the balance of the year.

OJO for the weekend

1) Yankees 1.5 games ahead. Boston has to win 2 of 3, plus the Cleveland Indians must  win 2 of 3 at home versus the Chicago White Sox. *** In order for Boston to sit nicely.

2) David Ortiz and Arod are both leading the AL with 47 homers, plus the MVP talk.

*** Lets settle this matter once and for all. David Ortiz is a part time player, do you get my point?  David is having a very good season at the plate and I'm pleased with his results.

I caught last nights highlights of the Red Sox game. I learned something from David, despite his Home run agenda - He got the game winning hit wih an opposite field line drive to left center. If you watched the pitch, it was good to see how he stepped into the pitch and went with it to the opposite field.

2) Mariano Rivera - rested the last two days.

3)  Jason Giambi esta Caliente! Jason is digging in at the plate and really, I mean really getting his arms around. I think the ball hit last night hasn't landed yet.

4) Bernie, Crunch Time! Bernie will deliver, remember that. Suerte!
