Ruben Sierra debuted for Texas at the age of twenty. 1989-1st Latino MVP Award During the late eighties and early nineties, the switch-hitting Sierra was considered one of the best players in the game. In 1987, "El Indio" became the youngest player to hit 30 HR in a season since 1965. During the 1989 season, Sierra put up MVP numbers and won The Sporting News AL Player of the Year Award. Now in his 19th season, Ruben Sierra continues to add numbers to a productive career and thrive in a variety of roles.
