21 Days of Roberto Clemente
Latino Sports Ventures, (LSV) kicked off their 7th Annual “21 DAYS OF CLEMENTE” on Friday, December 9th, 2005 in a special ceremony hosted by the Bronx Borough President, Adolfo Carrión. This annual event is done to commemorate the humanitarian work of the legendary baseball player, Roberto Clemente who was killed on December 31st, 1972 on a mercy mission to Nicaragua. EXHIBIT

December 10th - December 31st, 2005: Clemente exhibit at the Clubhouse, 424 Grand Concourse. Open everyday Monday - Saturday. 12 to 8 PM Mon- Fri. and 12 to 6 Saturdays. See rare and one of a kind Clemente collectibles. Some items can be purchased, others you can only wish you could. ADMISSION IS FREE

SPECIAL WEEKLY TETULIAS (Forums)

December 12, 19th and 27: Evening Forums on Clemente at the Clubhouse. Time 7 PM first come first seat. Admission is FREE. Our customary "Brindis" with coquito will take place immediately following every presentation.

Invited Guests and Topics. (not in any order till December 7th, 2005)

•Collecting Clemente Memorabilia. Featuring Mr. Paul Kutch, President of the Clemente Clubhouse and one of the top Clemente collectors in the United States.

•Retiring Clemente's #21 throughout MLB - Different Points of View. (Guests to be announced invited are WFAN, WADO and WVOX hosts)

•Clemente the Athlete and the Humanitarian of yesterday compared to athletes today. (Guests to be announced. Invited Jose "Chegüi" Torres, author and ex boxing champ, Clemente family member, Clemente friend)
