The Mundial Group, a leading Latino sports marketing company,
announced today that it will be changing its name to Mundial Sports
Network (MundialSportsNetwork.com)
and providing advertisers with a brand new robust integrated digital
offering.
Widely known for
publishing the hugely successful Futbol Mundial, Beisbol Mundial
and Boxeo Mundial magazines with respective audited circulations
of 950,000, in 2010 the company has "re-booted" to now include the
Mundial Online Sports Network, Digital Magazines (aka "digi-zines"),
enhanced owned and operated destinations and a forthcoming WAP mobile
site.
According to founder and CEO, Felix Sencion,
"Having been at the forefront of Latino sports media for nearly a
decade, it made logical sense to plus-up our digital assets to
complement our three broad reaching publications. During the time we've
been in business lots of Latino sports properties have come and gone,
but we've remained fully committed to our loyal audience and
advertisers. The announcement of the Mundial Sports Network and our
unique U.S. Hispanic male digital sports platform will be filling a much
needed void in the marketplace."
The Mundial Sports
Network, the first ever dedicated U.S. Hispanic online sports network,
will give advertisers the broadest opportunity to target Hispanic males
via a multitude of premium affiliate and owned and operated Latino
sports sites. In a sea of online networks, Mundial Sports Network is the
first to exclusively leverage online sports destinations to aggregate
Hispanic males online. In addition to the network's unique vertical
reach of 3,000,000 and growing, advertisers will be able to create
customized campaigns that include sponsorships, branded entertainment
opportunities and cross-platform components. The Mundial Sports Network
is actively signing up new partners daily via its corporate website at MundialSportsNetwork.com.
As part of its
re-booting initiative, the Mundial Sports Network is also pleased to be
offering digi-versions of its Futbol Mundial, Beisbol Mundial and
Boxeo Mundial magazines. Advertisers can insert rich media,
audio, video, surveys and other exciting ad units into the digi-zines
that will be syndicated via eBlasts, Mundial Sports Network affiliates
and a variety of social media tools. Mundial's unique Spanish-language
sports content will also soon be available via a WAP Mobile site
encompassing the three most popular sports among U.S. Hispanics of
soccer, boxing and baseball.
"I've worked with Felix
and Mundial for many years and they've always delivered terrific value
in connecting brands with U.S. Hispanic male sports fanatics. It's
really exciting to see their bolstering the incredible reach of their
publishing properties with even broader reaching digital assets that
will truly complement one another," said Sofia
Escamilla, VP of Media at the Phelps Group.
